We are excited to share with you a new organization that has been created to support LGBTQIA+ youth in our community aged 14 – 20. It is called Hui O Ānuenue (Rainbow Club). It is a collaboration between The Friends of the Children’s Justice Center, Aloha Maui Pride and Michele Navarro Ishiki of MNI Counseling Services LLC.
The group will meet monthly and provide a safe place for the youth to gather. The plan is to have an educational meeting once a month and then allow the youth members to plan another activity later each month.
The first meeting will be on Thursday, March 28, 4pm-6pm in the Cameron Center in Kahului. Attendees must RSVP by email to HuiOAnuenue@gmail.com to attend.
Please share this information with anyone you may know who could benefit from this organization.
If you would be interested in helping with this organization, please contact HuiOAnuenue@gmail.com. It takes a Village...

If you have been affected by these fires, or you know someone from our LGBTQIA+ community that has been directly affected, please reach out to us. You can also email us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have also set up a GoFundMe to raise money to specifically help people in our community. Here is the LINK to the GoFundMe Page: https://gofund.me/fb156587
We want you to know we’re in it – with you – for the long haul and want to support our LGBTQIA+ community in any way we can. As long as we have this post, we are still collecting and providing to our local ohana effected by the fires.
Please remember to Spend, Buy and Support Local.
Take good care of each other.
