August Pride Hike

  • Waihou Spring Forest Reserve (map)

๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿž๏ธ Join us this Saturday for our Monthly Pride Hike! ๐Ÿž๏ธ๐ŸŒˆ

Celebrate community, nature, and being unapologetically you. Bring your friends, your swag, and your fabulous selfโ€”weโ€™ll see you on the trail!

This 2.0-mile out-and-back trail is considered an easy loop through the Waihou Springs State Forest Reserve. After making a loop around the upper section, the trail follows a ridgeline to an overlook and returns to the same route. Monterey cypress and eucalyptus trees can be seen, as well as the native tree species Alaa, Halapepe, and Koa. The trail ends on a ridge top offering scattered views of the Central Valley.

As you traverse down the cliff edge via the Spring Trail, this will take you to Waihou Spring for views of small lava tubes and waterfalls.

Bring: sunscreen, bug spray, water/drinks, snacks.

Wear: a hat, hiking boots or good sneakers

*dogs on leash are allowed on this trail

TO CARPOOL: Meet at 8:30A at the Starbucks off Dairy Road. If you are driving separately, there is ample parking at the trailhead. Meet there at 9:15A-9:30A.

Please remember that this is a non-sponsored hike. All participants accept full responsibility for their safety by choosing to participate in the hike.
